Your adventure begins

Begin your journey in Kohima and follow in the footsteps of the warriors to Jakhama Village. We will drive through the towering landscapes and arrive at Yedikha campsite. Experience the beauty of the lands from one of the best vantage points as you sip hot laal cha. At your own pace, explore the Dzükozwu terrace fields and the culture of Jakhama village as the sun sets behind the mountains. Pass the night as the Nagas do with fresh rice beer and a traditional meal. Join in song and dance around the bonfire as the community welcomes you with open arms.

Day 2

Dzukou Calling!

Wake early to the lush greenery and get ready to see all the Dzükou Valley has to offer. Enjoy breakfast at camp followed by a quick ride to Viswema trail. Here your trek begins beneath the grand canopies of the evergreen trees. Make your way to the viewpoint high above the valley. From here you will embark deep into the bamboo forest. Follow the landscapes as you soak in the delicate natural scenery. End your day as you are surrounded by incomparable views and rest as you enjoy another delicious Naga meal.

Locations: Jakhama / Kohima

Friends and farewells

The sunrise over the valley greets you early this morning. Today you will get to descend into the valley you now know so well. Head back into the thick of the bamboo, now shrouded in the morning mist. Arrive at the dormitories for breakfast and warm laal cha. After breakfast, you must begin your trek back to the trailhead. Savour your last moments in the valley. As the experience becomes a treasured memory, take in your last lessons from Nagaland. You will be driven back to the campsite for one last meal of Puri Bhaji before your return to Kohima.
