Your First Steps into Nagaland

Your introduction to Nagaland begins with an exploration of Kohima. Observe the daily life of the townspeople and taste the local flavours of Nagaland. Feel the warm hospitality of the locals as you wind your way through the streets of Kohima. As night approaches, head into the surrounding greenery towards camp. Let the Angami air flow through you and find a new calm amongst the lands. Surrounded by high-reaching hills and the Dzukwozu rice fields below, you will begin to see why the Nagas call this home. End the day sharing a moment with others around the bonfire.

Locations: Jakhama / Khonoma / Jakhama

Transport detail: 60KMs / 3 hours

The First Green Village of India

Greet the day with breakfast at your campsite before heading farther into the natural lands. Travel high into the hills of Khonoma for some of the best views before entering Khonoma village. As the first Green Village in India, the people protect the pristine forests that surround them. Listen to the calls of the native birds and breathe in the crisp air. Spend time with the villagers, visiting their traditional houses and the Naga Heritage Village. After a full day of connecting with the people and the lands, you will return to relax at the campsite overlooking the rice paddy.

Last Moments in Nagaland

Rise early this morning for a majestic sunrise high above Nagaland. Enjoy the quiet moments as the lands begin to awaken and the early morning fog dissipates. Share a final breakfast at camp before making your way back to Kohima. As you are driven to the town take in some last breathtaking views to treasure as you continue onto your next journey.
